In 1952, while fishing with his father Dr. Robert H. Fuchs, had forgotten his fishing pole at the Harts Fishing Pier, located in the Gravois Mill. He figured he would pick up his pole the next time he returned.

When he returned to Hearts Pier and Hearts Realty, he saw a sign outside that read, "Waterfront Lots for Sale". He and his father decided they wanted to see the property.

During the 50’s there were no roads into the property, it was hot and miserable to say the least. Robert drove as far as we could to what is now known as Seals Rd. At which point he was forced to walk the remaining 5 miles to reach the property. In his own words, Robert said, it was worth it! The property was breathtaking and beautiful. Within the mist of the valley there was a beautiful spring, creeks, open valleys and an abundance of wild life and the rest was history, Robert acquired the property in May, of 1952.

My husband, Dr. Robert H. Fuchs DVM passed away on August 19, 2010 and was delighted to have seen such great developments and changes within his lifetime while having such wonderful memories at the Lake of the Ozarks.
